Cozumel, is the largest island in the Mexican Caribbean and the third largest in Mexico. Located off the coast of Playa del Carmen, the island is approximately 48 kilometers long and 16 kilometers wide.
Formerly known as Kusamil, which means “the island of swallows” in Mayan, it is one of the favorite destinations for cruise passengers and divers.
It is an ecological park of more than 1,000 hectares that is home to numerous species, such as crocodiles, pink flamingos and sea turtles that come to lay their eggs, among lakes, mangroves, swamps and beaches.
